《Syllabus》

Today, the popularity of video conferencing software such as Zoom is offering opportunities that were unimaginable prior to the Covid 19 pandemic. The motto of Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages is “Language are the Foundation to Link the World in Peace”. By taking advantage of this newly acquired knowledge it is possible to offer our students the opportunity to meet and work with fellow students from around the world without having to leave the classroom. By doing so we are providing them with better cultural understanding and communication skills.

The purpose of this presentation will be to outline how this program was set up, what the program has achieved and its future direction post Covid-19. We will show examples of students working together and what they have created along with their thoughts of this program.

Finally we will explain how it is possible for you to become part of such a program.

《Message》

The Kanda Center for Online Intercultural Exchange was established in 2021 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the simple yet important aim of allowing students from around the world the opportunity to communicate in a common language, whilst discussing daily life in their county and common issues that affect us all. This presentation will focus on how this program was started and what it has achieved so far and the future of such programs post Covid-19.
